জগৎ মুক্তিতে ভোলালেন সাই

Jogot mukti te bholalen Shai

The wise one spoke about freedom for mankind

ভক্তি দাউ হে যাতে চরণ পাই

Bhokti dau jatey choron pai

Said with submission let me touch his feet 

রাঙ্গা চরণ দেখব বলে

Ranga choron dekhbo boley

With hopes that we will see thy blessed feet

বান্চা সদাই হৃদ কমলে

Bancha shodai hrid komoley 

That being the earnest desire of our Soul 

তোমার নামের মিঠাই মন মজেছে

Tomar naamer mithai mon mojeychey

The sweetness of thy name has my Soul in raptures 

রূপ কেমনটাই দেখতে চাই

Roop kemon – tai dekhtey chai 

Your appearance - we want to behold.

ভক্তি পদ বঞ্চিত করে

Bhokti pod bonchito korey 

Do not deny me my surrender 

মুক্তি পদ দিচ্ছ সবারে

Mukti pod diccho shobarey 

This missive of freedom you offer everybody 

যাতে জীব ভ্রমন্দ ঘুরে

Jatey jeeb brohmande ghurey 

So that creatures of this Universe can roam free

কান্ড তোমার দেখি তাই

Kando tomar dekhte pai 

We see you and your wishes

চরণের ও যোগ্য মনো নয়

Choroner o jogyo mono noy 

I am not worthy of your blessed feet 

তথাপি মন ওই চরণ চাই

Tothapi mon oi choron chai 

Yet my soul yearns that I touch your lotus feet

লালন বলে হে দয়াময়

Lalon boley hey doyamoi

Lalon says, O Merciful

দয়া করো আজ আমায়

Doya koro aaj amai 

Have Mercy on me today
